The property had originally been a private residence with a horse barn and pastures. Those former open spaces gradually became gardens, gathering areas, water features, and a greenhouse wedding venue. Weddings became an important part of the property’s evolution, but the larger vision continued to grow. 19 Birch Lane is now being developed as a place where weddings and horticulture coexist—a boutique wedding venue helping support the creation of a future public botanical garden and educational destination in Midcoast Maine.
